I am a floating mermaid I understand how my skin combines with the ocean's wavy blade I say the rhythms of the water's silence I dream of a damp defiance I try to float afloat I hope not to feel the rising bubbles in my throat I am blue like the tail of a mermaid

Floating Mermaid
I am a floating mermaid I understand how my skin combines with the ocean's wavy blade I say the rhythms of the water's silence I dream of a damp defiance I try to float afloat I hope not to feel the rising bubbles in my throat I am blue like the tail of a mermaid
A poem I made on Tuesday, about someone drowning and pretending that they're a mermaid to make light of their upcoming death. Idk why my poems are about drowning and/or depression lately.
