In dreams I hold you every night When I go to sleep To sing you Grandma’s lullaby And caress your tiny feet I put your head right near my heart And pray that I could stay As Grandma cannot find her smile Since The Lord took you away! In dreams I see you take first step And fear in case you trip Then you hold your arms out wide And onto me you grip My heart so fills with pride and does Somersaults and splits That’s why Grandma goes to bed So her heart no longer rips! In dreams I see you whilst you grow And never wants to leave As Grandma needs to be right near So she no longer grieves Each night when I am all alone My mind begins to stray So I close my eyes to dream again To help me get through life each day! © By LynnKaren
