Poems are beautiful,
but the ones on a screen have no memories,
no place, no time, no story behind them.
They are just words
you can read again,
but not relive.
So maybe I won’t send you poems like this anymore.
Maybe I’ll write them by hand,
on paper that exists in the same world as us,
and give them to you when I see you.
So when you read them,
you won’t just remember the words,
you’ll remember the moment,
the place,
and me sitting there,
writing you into paper.
