Away

I turn from the light,

My eyes burning,

Red as a star,

Wet and calm as that passive ocean,

Though torrent in it's flow,

I fall from the sky,

the wind cutting my face,

laughing at me as it passes,

I turn away again,

Why does something that doesn't affect me,

Hurt so much?

I don't understand,

I can't understand
