I run my hands through my hair and touch a pit on the back of my skull I whisper to the air "Wow, I forgot I had that scar," So easily does your body accommodate, in the absence of a once living part Your broken heart should only wait For other sensations to impart

Neuroplasticity

Neuroplasticity allows the neurons (nerve cells) in the brain to compensate for injury and disease and to adjust their activities in response to new situations or to changes in their environment.
