Death and decay,
A formidable play,
Lay me bare on rugged grass,
Crossed paths and tussled,
Fought a war over my body.
Broken down and swaying,
Death over my body,
Tired with no muster.
Decay caught its breath,
Could no longer fight.
Whirlwind over me,
Colors and shapes,
My own breathing ragged;
They had joined forces.
All over me.
I lay in darkness,
Crowning the night.
Night welcomed me with heavy head,
My path open now.
Death and Decay.
