‘You’re hysterical’ someone says– I look them in the eye and freeze– my shoulders lower, brows raise sour amusement on my face. I drawl ‘You, think I’m hysterical?’ Cold, calculating, I list their hypocrisies. Done, no trust, it dawns. They could have been kind, understood my pain, instead they chose the rain. Hits their backs, cold, unwavering, falling uncaring. Rain– Shivering, from my anger.

My anger like rain
‘You’re hysterical’ someone says– I look them in the eye and freeze– my shoulders lower, brows raise sour amusement on my face. I drawl ‘You, think I’m hysterical?’ Cold, calculating, I list their hypocrisies. Done, no trust, it dawns. They could have been kind, understood my pain, instead they chose the rain. Hits their backs, cold, unwavering, falling uncaring. Rain– Shivering, from my anger.
