Right wingers lie and cheat

Whenever it behooves them

On WMD's or campaign myths

They seem to love to use them

Determined as old Lucifer

To spite the altruistic

They never yield to truth

Like Hitler's facistic

Sad for our country

When evil so controls

It's all the wicked venom

That poisons far right souls

For civil democrats

Response is in demand

Stomp back on forked tongues

That's all they understand

Well Louis since you ask. I am a conservative not a liberal so does that make me lie and cheat? I stand up for the underdog which is why I am involved in a 12 step program.&nbsp;&nbsp;A broad brush does no one any good.&nbsp;&nbsp;I know some democrats as friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;I am not a friend of Nancy or Harry type since they drive me nuts.&nbsp;&nbsp;Both two faced depending on who they are talking to.&nbsp;&nbsp;I know some on both sides I would not give the time of day. Finally, I learned a long time ago to not get into a pissing contest with a skunk.&nbsp;&nbsp;I am a thinker and no one has every in 68 years struck me.&nbsp;&nbsp;Boxing gloves... yes. 

Civil democrats are great.&nbsp;&nbsp;I call them blue dog democrats.&nbsp;&nbsp;We are not that far apart and don't want to see the country go to hell.
I graduated with a BS in Physics.

PS.&nbsp;&nbsp;I'm a Right Winger I suppose. I'm conservative to the bone.
I am not a republican.&nbsp;&nbsp;I am an independent, who votes with those I find to the best in line with our country's founders.&nbsp;&nbsp;I believe that all men are and should be equal with regard to basic human rights etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;I also know that when I say (all men), that that includes women.&nbsp;&nbsp;I believe that those who can work, should and those who can not work, should receive help first from their families and the local community without demanding from others.&nbsp;&nbsp;It isn't always fair, but neither is anything else in life.&nbsp;&nbsp;There are many liars in all camps of politics.&nbsp;&nbsp;Personal responsibility is an act which is renewed each day in our lives.&nbsp;&nbsp;There are untold thousands who though dirt poor in birth and life, became responsible citizens and contributed to the betterment of their families, neighborhoods, states and the country.&nbsp;&nbsp;None of those made excuses for their lives based on "poor", but rather many determined that "poor" gave them reason to work harder.&nbsp;&nbsp;All who died with that philosophy died successful.&nbsp;&nbsp;That is not to say all died rich.&nbsp;&nbsp;There is an old saying: better to try and fail, than to never try and succeed.&nbsp;&nbsp;
We "the United States", has become a very stingy society.&nbsp;&nbsp;With social programs offering anything without cost, has only created a gimme society where the norm is thinking that if you quit working or quit looking for work, that those who work somehow owe something to you.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thankfully there are those who do not think that way, but social programs do not return anything to the givers, but demands for more, more, more.&nbsp;&nbsp;J. F. K. Was right, when he said "ask not..."(I'm sure you have heard it before.&nbsp;&nbsp;

By the way, I only have 19 fans and you have a lot more, so it is only fair for you to give me some of yours since your having more is completely unfair.&nbsp;&nbsp;The fact that I haven't written as much or as well should not come into the discussion, because that might be profiling, or bias.&nbsp;&nbsp;I believe that Hello Poetry should demand a tax on your fans, take some(even under threat) and distribute those fans to others like myself who haven't put in the effort which you have.&nbsp;&nbsp;That is only fair.

PSS.&nbsp;&nbsp;I do not agree with the above paragraph, but that paragraph simply puts the current political situation into a perspective which I hope you see is in error.

I like the idea you were going for with the poem, but I think you would have made more of an impact if there was no rhyme scheme. It takes away any serious point you may be trying to make. I use rhyming in some of my work as well, but depending on the message, you have to be careful.

I do like the poem over all, as it is almost catchy, but it just sounds to child like with the rhymes. No serious undertone, or anger, or spite towards the republicans you are calling out.
Keep writing, and if you can, keep going with political themes. A poem has the ability to let other people see things for the first time, and during this time, that's exactly what the country needs.
