In a day, the sky flames with colours
A collage of shades and hues
From gold to red to tangerine
And the solemn grey and blue.
In a day, buds bloom and wilt
Leaves drift, pirouette and fall
Birds sing their summer songs
Till twilight and night fall.
The sun shines, clouds float
It drizzles and storms too
Just like life, with its ups and downs
Hopes old and new.
