The Chosen

From the sun

Born golden

Darkness in our hearts

The chosen

Water fills our lungs

Drowned in the sea

Words leave us as we pray

Saying what we were never meant to say

I am nothing

Living on faith and time

My heart’s a window

For the devil to creep inside
