I hid her
in a deep corner
of my mind
even talked to her
all the time
I read her books
kept her safe
until one day
she wanted
my face
I told her
“Baby, please don’t despair!”
She replied
“ it’s not fair! “
I didn’t want anyone to know
that she was
there
