You know, I could get high And take a ride Fly But I feel That I have to push forward Into this on-facing wind That is my life Gaining ground Millimeter by millimeter I feel that my body is set up for this And that the pull to keep my blood clean My lungs fresh Just works for me And it was my mother too Her blood That she kept unpolluted as best she could That mixed with my fathers' A line of users and drinkers too That gave us a chance, a fighting one To make it up out of the black And up into the blue
