And Now I Fear

I fell in the deep end and I cannot swim.

Cut all of my morals cause I thought they needed a trim.

I tried to find a light but my faith grew dim,

Prayed to the ceilings but I couldn't reach him.

And now I fear I've lost it all.

The final thread,

The final call.

I'm seeing things that don't belong.

I'm forgetting right and learning wrong.

Forgot the lyrics to my own theme song.

My mind's been on vacation for oh so long.

And now I fear I've gone too far.

The truth cut too deep,

It left a scar.

Tried to borrow memories that now I own.

Sealed my lips too long and now their sewn.

Hid the only thing I should have shown,

Go get your hammers, my heart's made of stone.

And now I fear I know it all.

I got so high,

I was bound to fall.

The future was looking as black as my lungs.

Things were getting old, but I'm still young.

So with a mind as twisted as my tongue,

I saw a change and took a plunge.

And now my fear has come to a stall.

I've seen the worst,

I overcame it all.
