late afternoons
like a rocking chair, a steady, smooth rhythm. like a drizzle on gravel, our skin grew damp. like vines on a fence, our bodies entangled, arms intertwined, joined at the hip. like a rocking chair, a steady, smooth motion, soft whispers and pants, my mouth to your ear, "i love you".
