~A Brick In The Road~

What a life is worth is in much debate,

We sell each other off as slaves,

Looking in a more broad of perspective,

Whether it you be the color of your skin, a religion, or an ethnicity,

Let this be known and stated that we too are human,

None better than its equal,

For we are all equal in a society that leads us to believe were not,

So many restrictions on your everyday life,

Just close your eyes and let me explain,

Government is in place to "lead" their people,

Oppressive behavior is what can be seen here,

I say stop lets get this straight as a knife,

We are all human so let us choose what we do,

Its stated many times in history that we are all equal,

So let us all see and make peace and equality rain,

As it did the day the Berlin Wall fell,

When you went to a Beatles concert and all the people just wanted to have fun,

As a family vacation to the beach in the sun,

Let this be a great brick in the long road ahead,

I stand up and say without fear,

Come now peace is here.
