Below the Ground

A scent of musty basement

I've come to love

Just as my fingers on your lips

When you whisper in my ear

 

No matter how hard you try

to break the moment

I'll keep coming back

I'll never leave you

I can never leave

this

 

Your words

have become steam

I inhale them

through dry throat

 

Your bitter tongue

ripping

I lust for
