Striking The Heart

Disappointment strikes the heart

Like lightning strikes the ground.

It's not exactly heartbreak,

But it feels like it sometimes...

I need to focus on something else,

Divert my attention.

If I don't, who knows what will happen?

If anything will help the feeling go away,

If anything will help heal the light scarring on my heart,

It's welcome...
