The difference You talk, and I listen real closely Ask me to speak I’d say nothing Your words they shine like the sun While mine collect dust on a shelf You tell the world of all your pain I keep hiding mine deep within me You say hey look at me here I am I’d much rather be a sight unseen Between I would rather be alone so I avoid people While you seek people begging for pity I see beauty in the dirt below the ground You say dirt is just dirt it ain’t beauty In your pain your running to the world With my pain I am placing hope in God The things you want everyone to know Are what I fear people will find out You, and I

Quite honestly wrote this poem back in two thousand, and seventeen. Truthfully I had written this at a time when making it to the next day. as well as even walking two more steps seemed formidable. People in my life began running to everyone in there struggles. However, I did not want anyone except the Lord to be aware of my struggles. Thus, I overthought quite a fair bit about ever posting this until now.
