Her

I need her.

She comes and goes,

In and out of my life as she pleases.

When I see her my heart is lifted in the air,

Almost as if for a moment her wings, became mine.

With her comes summer,

And she shares her beauty with the flowers of my world.

When she leaves me,

Winter grabs hold of my world,

Freezing and killing what once blossomed so beautifully.

Every time she returns,

She returns a new person in a new form,

New hair, new voice, new face, new attitude,

She hides in her new found self.

How does she always find me?

How do I know it's her?

I look in her eyes,

Those beautiful, spirit lifting, love embracing, care free eyes.

Through those eyes she gives me reason for my existence.

Maybe one day she’ll stay.

Maybe one day she’ll let me love her.

When I’m with her I am whole.
