A journey walked through shadowed vales and sun-drenched, open plains,
Through seasons where the laughter flowed and those that brought the rains.
I’ve seen the world at its most kind, and felt its harshest blow,
But through the highs and through the lows, I had nowhere else to go.
It’s easy to be loyal when the sky is clear and blue,
But staying when the storms arrive is how I proved my view.
In sickness, I have held your hand; in health, I’ve shared your light,
Choosing you in every dawn and every restless night.
More Than Just a Title
We’ve lived the vows before the words were ever spoken clear,
A bond forged in the struggles that have drawn us even near.
I’ve stood beside you when you soared and when you hit the ground,
In every silence, every fight, my heart is where it’s found.
I do not need a silver band to prove what’s in my soul,
For loving you and choosing you has truly made me whole.
But to carry on your legacy, to take the name you bear,
Is a mantle I am ready and so honored now to wear.
