* Dear Santa, It's been a pretty rough few years, as I'm sure you're aware. I tried to be nice whenever naughty had me in the crosshairs. But I'm at the end of my rope, between overtime and the sleepless nights. I imagine reaching out to you-know-who, but it fills me with fright.  I'm afraid that she'd be upset, or angry, or even worse, that she hates me. Yet, I dream of her smile, and the thought of her laugh still elates me. You remember when I was a kid, and I asked for spaceships and lasers? Then, when I only wanted to look into her eyes as a lovelorn teenager? I'll admit, I still want that as an adult, but now I pine for the little things. Hearing her opinions on commercial jingles could give my heart wings. Well, you granted me a gift on that long-ago Christmas. So, I'm gonna hope for hope and tell you my wish list: Give her all that she needs, and all that her heart desires, Give her a hug from me, even if she doesn't know it's mine. Deliver to her health and happiness in abundance, Deliver her hope, even if it appears to be chance. Send her and hers joy and peace in this holiday season, And send her my love, even if she knows not the reason. Always, Jason *
