Run ragged in moments Of exhaustive length, Frantic in metophores Bewildering strength, Blinded when critics Weild axes of death And asphyxiate quick In the absence of breath. Atonement for platitudes Laid in the path Of keepers of virtue Who knew how to laugh And agreement in principle, Patterned or plain, For doing the damage And shouldering blame.
