wet night

sinister,dark,

looming, brooding horizon.

angry ghouls growl,

flailing their arms,

hissing,

spitting venom

icy breath

frosts my window

miserable mongrels

howl a dirge,

mourning souls long-departed.

an unseen hand clicks

a silent flash.

eternity poses,

but for a moment.
