You are most visible in the places you are not. Like a silhouette cut from paper. Defined entirely by what is missing. I see you in pauses. In the half-second after I laugh and instinctively turn to share it. In the empty seat that is not assigned to you but always was. In the absence that has edges. Absence is not invisible. It is precise. It is measurable. It is the exact shape of what once filled it.
