Compose Yourself

If I could control my feelings

I’d choose not to feel this way

I’d force it not to hurt

When you choose not to stay

If I could control my feelings

I’d not wear them on my sleeve

With my lovely feelings hidden

You’d be far less apt to leave

If you could control your feelings

Then you could feel some love for me

But with no control of feelings…

Our love can never be.
