They say silence is golden. But it’s a heavy weight to bear. It glimmers—shines—with too much density there, compressing against memory, revealing a shine still there. Gold is desired for wealth, but memory doesn’t live in it— just a cold element, no ache of confusion, only a stillness filled with despair. It rests without a moment, no reason why everyone stares. Silence is golden— but not when no one is there.

Painful Gold
They say silence is golden. But it’s a heavy weight to bear. It glimmers—shines—with too much density there, compressing against memory, revealing a shine still there. Gold is desired for wealth, but memory doesn’t live in it— just a cold element, no ache of confusion, only a stillness filled with despair. It rests without a moment, no reason why everyone stares. Silence is golden— but not when no one is there.
