I know your just doing it because you think it’s “for my own good”
But it isn’t and I hate it when you restrict me from everything that makes me happy

I relate. My Parents try to protect me by restricting me completely but when I really needed protecting from the people closest to them, they didn't.

Being a parent is one of the most difficult jobs in the world.  They want the best for you whilst probably dealing with their own shit.  I feel sorry that you feel like you do.  Maybe talk really calmly without blame or anger ... find out why .... just a thought.

Hi Stephanie, I see that a lot of comments allude to the struggles of being a parent, and...they're right. I saw my own parents go through a lot. However, it is TRUE that parents can be too hard-headed and take on ridiculous positions. Try having a conversation with your parents. Tell them how those restrictions are affecting you emotionally. Parents are more receptive than we think. Good luck!
