My heart, was suspended by a string, dangling. You cut it. Swore you would protect it, never harm it. You broke it. I left, crying, lost, he found me. Offered to pick up the pieces, wanting to put me back together. I pushed him away, not wanting to be broken, battered, again.   He left. I cried, alone. You succeeded, I'm still lost.
