The things we keep close to our hearts And in return reluctant to part Are only things after all And a reminder when we hear the call That we begin our lives with only a breath And leave this world totally bereft Of all the things we have collected But if we truly live are rejected So how do we define what we keep From material things that we seek To fill in gaps of good times past Holding memories in our hearts But if we free ourselves of our worldly things And really live life that experience brings Isn’t that what life’s about after all Live it to the maximum and be enthralled
