I am a bird free to fly away Leaving the words I couldn’t say. I stood in the rain, hoping in vain Losing myself in silent pain. I was a fire that warmed no one A lonely moon chasing the sun. Free to go, to find my way But I choose to stay and fade away. I could break free, release this chain But I choose to love you, even in vain.

Chains of Choice
I am a bird free to fly away Leaving the words I couldn’t say. I stood in the rain, hoping in vain Losing myself in silent pain. I was a fire that warmed no one A lonely moon chasing the sun. Free to go, to find my way But I choose to stay and fade away. I could break free, release this chain But I choose to love you, even in vain.
A heartfelt poem about unrequited love and the quiet pain of choosing to stay. Through soft metaphors, it shows the struggle between freedom and holding on to a love that won't return.
