I want to wander
To the outskirts of town
Far past what I've ever known
I want to explore the world
And not be stuck in this stupid place
I've been forced to call "home"
I want to become one with nature
Breathing in and out, in and out
With the sound of the trees
I want to be stuck in alood
Alone with my thoughts,
Just me, and the vast open sky
But I'm having trouble finding that place
I need to find comfort
And rest for awhile
Eventually slip away
I always wonder where to go
I'm not quite sure but I know
There's somewhere out there for me
I just have to keep searching

Neologism poem - alood - inspired by the German word "waldeinsamkeit" which means the feeling of being alone in the woods, combined the words alone and wood > alood
