Beautiful Disaster

I slept in the air you had left

Your fingers embroidered my face

We did tarot cards and tea leaves

Stories of midwifes and past ancestors

We snowshoed and sawed down our Christmas trees

Twenty years difference didn't mean a thing to me

You touched me as I opened the silence of fear

I tangled and tunneled inside of you

You peeled back my needs
