I get so tired of one religion 
tearing down another. 
It seems so cheap to me -
a protestation better muted
in favor of a simple act of helpfulness.

I have deep belief but understand the sometimes pettiness of some church members.  But I can't deny haven't experienced an epiphany that deeply saved and changed my life.  But that was God and me alone in a church, with no intervention from cleric or congregation.  It is thought provoking that those who profess to be holy can be petty and mean.

So true. I left my parent&#8217;s church at the age of 15 when I began to recognize the hypocrisy. I&#8217;m an open minded agnostic now searching for meaning to it all.
