I want to sing a song of my Mother, Her passive/aggressive fight against my Father, Whose oft repeated phrase was, “Go with the flow, son.” “Just go with the flow…” Then he would curse her to her face, And she fought back the best she knew how… “I hate you like I hate my own mother!” He cried. She responded with quiet, She responded with resolve. I am her resolve, **** you Dad, I am you and you are me. But, I am her resolve, I am her, She is revealed.
