Your hair twists around a chopstick As you tell me you don’t need them to eat I would do anything to see your curls turn grey One strand at a time Hold you when you cry Heal you when you’re hurt Brush your hair, rub your feet, breakfast in bed Cook for you Read to you walk with you protect you always stay with you Without recompense Without a grandiose facade I walk up the stairs to your house My heart in anticipation I jump into your arms It is special each time
