I see that you know that haiku traditionally should include some reference to time and place.  That was how I was taught. Excellent haiku, I read it three times.

My friend Warren Gossett write haiku.  He does beautiful paintings.  He understands this form where I am rather lost in the woods.

But I do appreciate the compact imagery.  It is amazing.
