This rose from a battered root that struggled to grow
drenched in its sorrowful rain of depression
with the ambition to sprout & evolve into Life
Misguided by the influences of adversity
designed to hinder the progression
to become great within itself
The water flowing from these clipped pedals
aren’t tears of regret
but a relief from being able to be Free
without the fear of being held down
by self-doubt or the misery of outside bystanders
