The Sun kisses the Day goodbye With a fiery passion, Exploding the sky with a burst of color; Giving the last of her love to the Day As she disappears over the horizon. The Moon slowly rises Bringing along the darkness of the night; He catches the last of the Sun''s beauty And keeps it in his pocket. He turns the stolen light into stars So he can see his lost love forever. He shines through the unforgiving darkness Giving hope to those who are lost and broken. As the Sun wakes up the Day with another fiery kiss The Moon slips away catching a glimpse of his forgotten love, "I love you" he whispers as he disappears over the horizon.
