An old soul

So you knew that is was wrong

And you did it anyway

Knew there'd be a price

You had no intent to pay

You scrubbed those hands of grime

And turned the other cheek

Thought you'd be rid of all of this

Within the coming week

But times been marching on

With this nipping at the heels

Would you still give anything

To relinquish all this guilt

Oh, ask your soul

To stop on by sometime

Oh, ask your soul

To justify your crime

Oh, ask your soul

To claim you back you're mine

But this old soul

Just spins around in rhyme

This old soul

Just keeps questioning you

Why
