You turned the tap on You raised the cup The particles you’d spoken Quickly edging up Tantalizingly close To the final line A dash of love; A dash of trust A dash of wonderous time My glass was full up There was no more room It was embodied in the promises You said would come soon The mix of water and strength Made time go so fast The minerals began to settle But you picked up my glass And spilled it.

My Glass
You turned the tap on You raised the cup The particles you’d spoken Quickly edging up Tantalizingly close To the final line A dash of love; A dash of trust A dash of wonderous time My glass was full up There was no more room It was embodied in the promises You said would come soon The mix of water and strength Made time go so fast The minerals began to settle But you picked up my glass And spilled it.
