this morning reminded me
of summer
the rigid air warm and dry
the cloudveil thin
its white knuckles tight
trying to keep together
while the crisp sun
whispered through the cracks
of the wisps, clasped pockets
of lingering winter
and eager spring
it was almost an anachronism
beautifully lying in an
earthbound fall
but with a simple smile
it is forgiven
