Mechanical Music of a Metal Heart

The machine plays its heart for music.

Cold hands pluck a tinny tune on its aorta -

The song of its people is a cold organisation.

Blood vessels thrum, contort and contract,

And the song is hollow, but sounds familiar.

These chords have sat in meetings before -

Loving melodies broken in divorce,

And algorithmically sewn together.

A request fulfilled, from the corpse of another.
