I Remember..

I remember looking at you, looking at me

but I always seem to look at you a certain way.

What is it? I don't know, only to my dismay.

Maybe it is the way you glow, prettier day by day.

And I remember walking by

never wanting to say a word,

but as soon as you said hi

I couldn't pass the chance to flirt.

I remember you being mad at me being mad,

although your silence I didn't see as bad,

its not like you notice anyway

how much I remember day to day.

I remember everything you ever wanted

but only hoping it was me,

but with my eyes I could see

that my brain was deceiving.

So now I remember, the truth in your lies

and how you want to be with every other guy.

I'm tired of seeing you tired of seeing me tired,

wishing I could hold the warmth of your fire

Even if you're not with me when I'm old and gray

thinking about that day in December

I can look back on the golden days

and say that

I remember
