she is the praying mantis to my praying hands her nails dig underneath my ribcage she eats the parts that pray i keep a record of my suffering dreaming of an asteroid a terrible heaven moves in the way she walks stars burn through me like white phosphorus her mark stays longer than bone the idea always comes back to me i belong to her completely forever hers
