how you betrayed time
leaving a trace at every point
where your past self could not hold on
and in saving yourself from oblivion
you became someone else
these thoughts poured out of my mind
i didn’t hold them back tired of all the tricks
and schemes of this clever world
i wanted to walk my thorny path
without growing weary
bring her here
and have my forehead shine brightly
near her presence
forever also
