Crickets chirp into an aroma of honey suckle and bottle brush nectar Echoing amongst spinefex, between the red and gold cleft rock slabs New light peaks luminously between wired shrubs A new beginning from new light Cool and warm swells of air The vastness of the starry night up above Looking up beyond all the grounded troubles It's as though no one can see me Although I know there must be Many marsupial eyes fixed on me that I cannot see Content for a moment I remember the house that needs springs cleaning The bills I don't have money for Nothing saved up for Christmas And it is time to return home

evening wanders
Crickets chirp into an aroma of honey suckle and bottle brush nectar Echoing amongst spinefex, between the red and gold cleft rock slabs New light peaks luminously between wired shrubs A new beginning from new light Cool and warm swells of air The vastness of the starry night up above Looking up beyond all the grounded troubles It's as though no one can see me Although I know there must be Many marsupial eyes fixed on me that I cannot see Content for a moment I remember the house that needs springs cleaning The bills I don't have money for Nothing saved up for Christmas And it is time to return home
