What happens when the war is won The blood is spilt the deed is done The flag has flown with hard hearts the fear departed that tore many apart put down the guns the bombs the knives can you not hear the weeping wives hand in hand a sad sacred song for only those who've seen as we've seen heard as we've heard cried as we've cried seen so many died as we've not tried In the end there's only one way to flow like a river at peace and let it all go
