The mirror casts a reflection, but I don't recognize it. The eyes are mine the nose is mine the face is mine But it does not look like it is mine. The eyes are tired the face is exhausted even the voice sounds wrong. The eyes were empty, hollow. I say my name The face in the mirror does not move. The name sounds wrong, like a stranger's name. But not mine. I reach out to touch something It is not there I look around. It is a black abyss. Only with the thing I think is myself. I try to scream, and shout gain the attention of anyone, anything. No use. Waiting for someone to join. Someone to save me from the abyss From this darkness and the pain I suffer from. I am stuck in the abyss Waiting for the savior For my knight in shining armor Until then, this is a pain I am forced to wear Like soaking wet clothes on my back Waiting until it stops being so heavy, or when it dries.

There but Distance
