I love the smell of your skin When I wake at 2.40 am Your sleepy face unaware of my eyes Sinking slowly in The way you look when you wake Momentarily all dazed and confused I hold you tight against my chest And hope that I don't loose The speckles of brown dots Smothering your face Creeping around your skin I trace each freckle very carefully And beam a secret grin.
