This might qualify as senryu if you transform that second line to be more standalone than connective. Remove the 'and', in other words. Drop that semicolon and pop in ellipsis or a hyphen for the metaphorical pause. It's more universally recognised as a segue into a turn in consideration than the semicolon. Very well thought-out. Delightful to read. Good philosophy.

PS a haiku would not include direct human or emotional imagery, rather it would rely on seasonal metaphor to consolidate the human philosophy.
